DamesZaken Alicante started with a first drinks evening and an idea. Built from nothing into an active community for entrepreneurial women on the Costa Blanca. Monthly events where people make real connections and collaboration follows. Building relationships is the most powerful business skill there is, and that is what we build on every month.

Explored the web development market on the Costa Blanca through market research, networking and testing services and business models. Investigated which approaches work and how doing business in Spain differs from the Netherlands. Technical knowledge kept current and expanded. First Costa Wave Web clients started in the process.

First point of contact for clients in the electronics and component sector: connectors, housings, keypads, displays and transformers for consumer electronics, medical equipment and industrial production lines. Technical product advice, coordinating design services and translating client specifications into bespoke solutions. Managed quotations, price negotiations and delivery schedules, working alongside manufacturers in Europe, North America and Asia.

Managed and improved the internal sales operation: monthly reporting on call-off contracts, quotations, rush orders and client advice across the Netherlands. Processed technical drawings and liaised with engineers on production solutions. Trained new staff, onboarded new clients and wrote and implemented work processes from scratch. Six years as the connection between technology, process and client.

In the premium gifts industry: daily review of print files and technical drawings, advising clients on finding the right promotional gift and managing price processes and orders. Daily contact with production teams in China for status updates and on-time delivery. Developed alternative solutions when the desired design turned out not to be feasible.

Over 10 years in client-facing sales and support: insurance, credit services, paper and office supplies. Set up a ticket service desk, led a CRM implementation and rewrote work processes. Identified cross-selling and upselling opportunities and kept clients informed about available options. The foundation was built here: client contact and process thinking as second nature.
